WHAT IS CANYONING?
Canyoning is an unforgettable experience. It is
an activity which involves nearly every kind of mountain
progression technique to descend steep river gorges. Canyoning
takes place in river gorges of unspoilt beauty, made up of a
series of spectacular waterfalls, crystal clear pools and
beautiful rock passages, cut and sculpted by water over millions
of years.
The canyon descent takes place in Almunecar where the group is
taken down a series of of abseils over waterfalls, jumps and
slides into pools, scrambling and climbing over boulders, and
down gullies following the gorge as it snakes its way down the
mountainside.
We have a variety of river gorges which we use
for our canyon descents aimed to suit all abilities.

and exploring inaccessible places CANYONING IS FOR YOU!
IS IT DIFFICULT? I HAVE NEVER DONE IT BEFORE
For many years we have shown people that Canyoning is an
activity that anyone with a reasonable level of fitness and
swimming ability can enjoy. Every day people from all walks of
life and ages take part in our descents; men, women, children
and sometimes whole families. A days Canyoning always starts
with training by specialist and highly qualified leaders, which
involves the learning of abseil techniques, use of specialised
equipment and a safety briefing.
The training takes about 2 Hours and the descent approx 4 Hours. It is an early start as we have to be in Almunecar by 8.30AM.
WHAT'S INCLUDED AND WHAT TO BRING
We provide all the necessary equipment for the descent;
wetsuits, harness, helmets and technical equipment.
Each person will be required to bring;
- 2 pairs of footwear - 1 pair for the descent, trainers or
walking boots (WHICH WILL GET WET), and 1 pair for afterwards.
- Swimwear for use under the wetsuit.
- Some warm clothing for changing into after the descent.
- Refreshments, i.e. drinks, snacks and sandwiches.
- Please DO NOT bring any valuables such as jewellery or mobile phones.
Photos are taken throughout the day and are available for purchase.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
We will supply a detailed price for your trip, depending on the size of the group, however it will be in the region of 90 Euros per person per day. We can also arrange transportation from Nerja to Almunecar and will quote a price for you if you require transport.

Our pre-booking form below enables us to check available dates and we can confirm back to you what dates we can do and the total price. When you decide you wish to book you can pre-pay via credit card via Paypal. We will then book your tour and provide you with your booking details. |
