We have a selection of guided walks in Nerja that are based on both degree of difficulty and duration: we start by picking you up at your Nerja accommodation from where we will drive up into the mountains.

Your walking guide is an experienced monitor climbing instructor with more than 20 years of experience in the mountains and is a local expert in these areas.

HALF DAY WALK FOR NON EXPERIENCED WALKERS

This Nerja guided walk is designed for starters or individuals that simply like to stroll, enjoying the fabulous views up in the mountains. It is a walk that goes on a broad path. Gradual up and down hills. The duration varies depending on the guests and their ability. Approx 1½-2 Hrs.

HALF DAY WALK FOR EXPERIENCED WALKERS

This Nerja guided walk demands good physical fitness and has a max altitude of 400 meters walking between 6-8km. It goes over narrow paths in the mountains and has more challenges. Ideally suited to individuals who may want to do more than one walk during their stay. Duration is approx 3½ Hrs.

FULL DAY WALK FOR EXPERIENCED WALKERS

This walk demands good physical fitness and stamina. It goes over mule tracks that have been used by mine-workers at the beginning of the 19th Century and is challenging in many areas. The walks have fabulous views and a max altitude of 1000 meters and are between 10-15km. Duration is approx 5-8 Hrs.

Clothing Advice

Loose fitting comfortable clothing and suitable walking shoes, Trainers or walking boots depending on the walk. For a full day walk you will need to bring pack lunch and plenty of water. We would always recommend that you carry a light rain mac in the cooler months.

Our guided walking excursions are extremely popular and we recommend that you pre-book before your arrival. Our pre-booking form below enables us to check available dates and we can confirm back to you what dates we can do and the total price. If you wish to have a second walk or more this can be paid for now or we may be able to check availability with your guide for other dates that are available. When you decide you wish to book you can pre-pay via credit card via Paypal. We will then book your tour and provide you with your booking details.
