Casa Lorca as the name suggests is steeped in history. Owned by the family of Federico Garcia Lorca, the famous poet and writer and the emblematic member of the "Generation of 27" influential group of poets, who rose to fame just before and during the Spanish Civil war and who's fame and following today is as strong as it was then.
The villa occupies probably the prime site of Nerja and occupies a south facing location with glorious sea views including the Balcon de Europa to the west and the rugged coastline of the Costa Tropical in the east.
Casa Lorca has a unique ethereal feel about it and is definitely not for those seeking a modern contemporary accommodation and high tech appliances. Casa Lorca is well over 100 years old and is the Real Spain and there are not too many of these properties left and very few to rent!
This glorious property is located on the sea side of Calle Carabeo, an attractive pedestrianised street that connects the Carabeo and Parador areas of Nerja with the central Balcon de Europa and it's beautiful palm fringed promontory.

**Occupancy is 8 persons**

Located in the well know street of Calle Carabeo , this fantastic proeprty is less than a 3 min walk to the Balcon de Europa. The nearest restaurant is just  opposite the front door, yet when you step inside you enter a place of tranquility with the most fantastic view to the sea and mountains.   The property has 5 bedrooms, of which any 4 can be rented, depending on the formation of the group. The bedrooms are listed below.
The look and feel of the property is simply stunning. Once your enter through the large wooden double door of this busy street, you feel as if you are entering another world. One of tranquility and history. Most of the furniture is antique and beautifully carved. The property itself is built over two levels, with one single bedroom downstairs with en-suite bathroom, a large entrance hall also with dining table, a TV lounge, farm house style kitchen and utility room with another downstairs bathroom. Double doors from the kitchen lead to a south facing terrace with built in open BBQ, washing line and old style concrete tiled sink. Double doors also open from the entrance / dining hall onto a beautiful private courtyard. A large outside wooden table and chairs is ideal for all fresco living. From there you follow the foot path through manicured gardens to the private swimming pool surrounded by lawn and fruit trees, over looking the sea and the Balcon de Europe.

Outside:
Large private covered south facing courtyard, with large wooden table, 8 chairs, 2 reclining chairs. Near the private pool (1.40-1.60 deep) , sun loungers on the lawn, wooden bench overlooking the sea and the Balcon de Europe. 
Second terrace accessed from the kitchen with washing lines, built in charcoal BBQ, outside tap.

South facing terrace on the first floor accessed from the large hall way.

Lounge / dining room:
There are two lounges, one on the ground floor, sofa, chairs, book shelves, side board, desk with chair, open fire place, TV (** Channels listed below) The second lounge is on the first floor with an open fire place, TV, sofa, 2 armchairs, foot stool, ornate antique glass cabinet, side table,  and access to two single bedrooms and bathroom.

Kitchen:
Farmhouse style with ample work space, Kitchen table and chairs, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, extractor fan, kettle, toaster, coffee machine

Utility area:
On open shelves a large selection of kitchen ware, large fridge freezer, iron and ironing board.

Bedrooms: there are 7 bedrooms in total. Any formation can be booked as long as the total number of occupants does not exceed 8 people.

Single bedroom, facing the street, with en-suite bathroom. Single bed, bedside table, book shelves with large selection of books, antique mirrored wardrobe,

Full length bath with overhead shower , free standing sink, WC, wall mounted mirror.

Wooden ornate beautifully carved double bed, dressing table, desk , large dresser, bedside table and lamp, built in wardrobe, three double doors with wooden railings, one pair of double doors open onto Romeo & Juliet balcony

Bedroom 3:
Double bed with bedside tables and lamps, dresser and mirror, double doors to private south facing balcony with stunning views over the garden, pool and sea

Bathroom 2:
Full length bath with over head shower, freestanding sink, wall mounted mirror, storage unit, WC, bidet

Bedroom 4:
Double bed with bedside tables and lamps, dresser, desk, low arm chairs, built in wardrobe.

Bedroom 5:
Twin beds, bedside table and lamp, arm chairs, wall mounted mirror, chest and built in wardrobe, door to en-suite bathroom

Bathroom 3:
Bath with overhead shower, WC, free standing sink with wall mounted mirror, small stool

Bedroom 6:
Single bed, bedside table, dressing table with mirror, built in wardrobe, shelves with a selection of books

Single bed with wooden ornate frame, bedside table and lamp, stool, built in wardrobe

    Just wanted to let you know that we thoroughly enjoyed our recent stay at 37 Verde Mar. We have been visiting Nerja on and off for the last 20 years, and this is the best apartment we have stayed in ... not just for its location but the high standards of decor and equipment. It felt more like a home from home than a holiday flat. Of course we were also blessed with wonderful weather, and made great use of the balcony - enjoying breakfast in the sunshine.

    I hope that you can pass on our thanks to the owners and although it is a long way off, we would like to return for New Year 2011/12.
